Help shape the future of healthcare data—Participate in the CMS QHP Directory Pilot

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in partnership with the state of Oklahoma, has launched a first-of-its-kind Qualified Health Plan (QHP) Provider Directory Pilot.

The pilot aims to establish a single, automated statewide directory for QHPs and healthcare providers in Oklahoma—streamlining data exchange and enhancing the accuracy of provider information.

Key Benefits:

Improve access to care

  • Reduce clinician burden
  • Advance data interoperability
  • Enhanced patient and provider experiences
  • Valuable insights to inform the potential development of the National Directory of Healthcare (NDH)

Participation Expectations:

Mandatory for QHP Issuers
The Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) has issued a bulletin requiring all QHP issuers in the state to participate in the pilot.

Strongly Encouraged for Providers
CMS is actively seeking provider engagement to help test and refine the directory framework. Your participation and feedback are essential to building a more reliable, transparent, and efficient healthcare ecosystem.
