ABA Coverage Reminder

Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, services for SoonerSelect members must follow Oklahoma Health Care Authority policy and Oklahoma Administrative Code. ABA is covered only when delivered by individual treatment. Group ABA therapy is not a covered benefit under SoonerSelect and is not reimbursable.  

Provider Requirements: 

• Bill ABA services accurately to reflect one-to-one delivery 
• Individual ABA CPT codes for services provided in a group setting is not permitted. 
• Ensure documentation clearly supports individual service delivery for each billed unit. 

Payments tied to services delivered in a group setting but billed as individual care may be subject to recovery following review or audit. 

Providers are responsible for compliance with Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) policies, state code, and SoonerSelect billing requirements.
