Oklahoma Complete Health Community Health Workers Certified Under New State Program

Date: 02/27/26

Oklahoma Complete Health’s Community Health Workers (CHWs) have been certified by the state of Oklahoma under a new voluntary certification program established in 2025, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to high quality support for members across the state.

“As a leader in addressing social drivers of health for Oklahomans, we felt it was important to fully embrace the state’s newly established Community Health Worker certification,” said Oklahoma Complete Health CEO and President Clay Franklin. “By achieving 100% certification across our eligible CHW team and their leaders, we are reinforcing our commitment to our members, our community partners and the state to deliver trusted support where it matters most.”

By participating in the certification program, Oklahoma Complete Health also supports opportunities for collaboration with community organizations for a more connected and responsive health care ecosystem across Oklahoma.

Although certification is not required to work as a CHW in Oklahoma, Oklahoma Complete Health voluntarily pursued certification for its CHW team to align with the state’s framework and strengthen the quality, consistency and credibility of the support provided to members and communities.

Community Health Workers play a critical role in helping members navigate complex systems and access community-based resources for overall health and wellbeing. State certification helps ensure CHWs are equipped with current knowledge of emerging community needs, available resources and best practices, further strengthening the quality of care and support provided to members statewide.
