Date: 06/10/26

Oklahoma Complete Health will invest up to $300,000 over three years to expand maternal health, infant health, behavioral health, and chronic disease prevention services in the Tulsa area, strengthening access to care and addressing health disparities in North Tulsa. The investment is part of the organization’s Health Empowerment Zone (HEZ) strategy and will support Northside Neighbors as the Tulsa-area partner leading local implementation efforts.

“Strong community partnerships are essential to improving health,” said Oklahoma Complete Health President and CEO Clay Franklin. “This investment supports locally led solutions that expand access to care and help close gaps for families in North Tulsa.”

Through the Health Empowerment Zone model, Oklahoma Complete Health aligns funding with community priorities to support services that reflect local needs. In Tulsa, the investment will focus on expanding maternal and infant health services, behavioral health services, and chronic disease prevention through coordinated partnerships.

"This partnership with Oklahoma Complete Health is an important investment in the health and future of North Tulsa families. By expanding access to maternal and infant health services, we are helping ensure that mothers, babies, and families have the support they need to thrive,” said Northside Neighbors Executive Director Reggie Ivey. “We are proud to work alongside community partners to advance equitable health outcomes and strengthen the wellbeing of our residents.”

Northside Neighbors will serve as the local anchor, working with residents, community-based organizations, healthcare providers, and public partners to coordinate services and advance key health priorities.

The Tulsa-area HEZ builds on Oklahoma Complete Health’s statewide investments in locally led solutions, including partnerships with the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City in Oklahoma County and the McCurtain County Health Department to expand maternal and infant health services in rural communities.
