Updated PA Approval Guidelines for PT/OT/ST Services

Oklahoma Complete Health has made an important update to our prior authorization (PA) guidelines to reduce provider administrative burden and improve the continuity of care for our members.

Effective immediately, prior authorizations for certain therapy services with high reauthorization approval rates will be approved to up to six (6) months. PAs will continue to be reviewed internally by master’s and doctoral level therapist to determine therapy duration. These extensions will apply to services for children with habilitative therapy needs, such as:

• Pediatric developmental delays
• Cerebral palsy
• Autism
• Expressive/receptive language disorders
• Other complex medical conditions.

In addition, the Request for Information (RFI) process has been modified to reduce the frequency of RFI requests and expedite the PA process.
